WHY DO LIGHTS LOOK PURPLE?

When red and blue light are combined and illuminated together, the eye perceives the output colour as purple.

WHY ARE THERE NO LIGHTS VISIBLE WHEN NIR LED MODE IS SELECTED?

Near-infrared (NIR) light is typically not visible to the human eye because it falls just beyond the red end of the visible light spectrum. While the light is being emitted, it is outside the range of wavelengths that the human eye can perceive. Therefore, even though the LED mask is actively emitting NIR light, you won't be able to see it directly.

DOES IT CONTAIN BLUE UV LIGHT?

No, Bright On LED Face Mask does not use any UV LEDs, making it a safe and non-invasive skincare option.

WHY DOESN’T THE MASK HAVE MORE LIGHT COLOUR OPTIONS?

We have selected the 3 wavelengths that have been studied in independent clinical studies supporting LED phototherapy as the ones consistently delivering significant results.

Blue (e.g., 415nm), red (e.g., 633nm), and near-infrared (e.g., 830nm) (Ablon, 2018; Kim & Calderhead, 2011; Zheng et al., 2020).

WHAT IS THE IRRADIANCE AND FLUENCE OF THE MASK?

Irradiance refers to the amount of light energy emitted by the LEDs on the mask's surface. The optimal clinical irradiance is considered to be around 40–150 mW/cm2 (Calderhead, 2018; Sorbellini et al., 2018). The Bright On LED face Mask irradiance is 50mW/cm2. This level of irradiance, combined with the ideal wavelengths, ensures the mask's high effectiveness while maintaining safety standards.

IS THE BRIGHT ON LED MASK COMFORTABLE TO WEAR AND ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Bright On LED Face Mask is a comfortable, safe, non-invasive, and painless treatment. Users may feel a slight warming sensation, and temporary redness can occur, usually fading within one to two hours. For light-sensitive individuals, eye protection is provided for comfort and convenience, and the device should never become too hot to the touch.

LED masks are considered safe and non-invasive for most users. Side effects are rare, but in some cases, individuals with very sensitive skin may experience mild redness or irritation. These effects are usually temporary and subside quickly.

Before first use, we strongly recommend performing a sensitisation test by following the steps below:

• Place the device over your inner arm.

• Switch on the device using the remote and allow it to run for its full 10-minute program.

• If at any point your skin feels hot or uncomfortable, stop using the device immediately.

• After use (at least 6 hours after your sensitisation test), if your skin appears red and/or itchy, discontinue the use of the device.

TREATMENT & RESULTS

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED TREATMENT REGIME?

We recommend 3-5, 10-minute treatments per week for 4-6 weeks followed by maintenance as desired.

SHOULD I USE IT MORNING OR NIGHT?

The Bright On LED Face Mask effortlessly integrates into your daily routine, offering the flexibility to be used both in the morning and at night. It's here to complement your skincare regimen seamlessly.

HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE RESULTS?

The time it takes to see visible results can vary depending on individual factors, such as your specific skin concerns, the frequency of use, and the intensity of the treatment. You should start seeing visible results 4 weeks post 1st treatment. We encourage you to take regular photos of your skin.

DO I NEED TO APPLY ANY PRODUCTS BEFORE USE?

No, we recommend you use the Bright On LED Face Mask to cleansed, dry skin.

Any products applied before its use can reduce the effects of the treatment and may also cause light sensitisation.

CAN I USE IT AFTER INJECTABLES, MICRONEEDLING?

Using an LED mask after injectables or micro-needling procedures can be beneficial to enhance recovery time. We recommend using red and near-infrared wavelengths to help reduce the appearance of redness and bruising.

CAN I USE THE MASK OUTSIDE OF AUS?

The Bright On LED Face Mask is travel friendly and designed for worldwide use. Simply plug the USB cable into appropriate charger.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE MASK?

Before each use, with the mask switched off, clean both sides of the mask with a damp, clean cloth.

• Place the mask on a clean, dry surface to air dry.

• DO NOT use any cleaning products as they may damage the material.

• Store the device in the provided carry bag at room temperature, in dry conditions, and away from direct sunlight.

• Keep the device out of reach of children to avoid any hazards.

HOW DO I CHARGE THE MASK?

You will not be charging the mask itself. You will be charging the controller.

• Connect the controller with a qualified adapter (not included) via the type-C charging cable.

• Plug into the power supply - the screen will light up and the battery symbol will scroll during charging.

• A solid battery symbol represents a full charge. Unplug the adapter then.

NOTE:

• Do not overcharge the controller as overcharging can affect the battery power over time.

• The USB-C input which connects the mask to the controller is at the top of the controller.

HOW LONG DOES A FULL CHARGE TAKE?

A full charge will take approximately 3 hours.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I GET FROM 1 FULL CHARGE?

1 full charge should give you approximately 6 x 10-min treatments.

I HAVE SENSITIVE EYES, WILL THE MASK BE OK TO USE?

The mask has been tested and conforms to international eye safety standards IEC/EN 62471. However, eye protection is provided for an added layer of safety and for your overall comfort and convenience.

DO I NEED TO USE THE EYE PROTECTION AND IS IT SAFE FOR MY EYES?

Using the provided eye protection is highly recommended for an added layer of safety and for your overall comfort and convenience.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

MY CONTROLLER ISN’T CHARGING, WHAT’S WRONG?

Ensure that the USB-C charging cable is fully attached to the top input of your controller. You must push the USB-C charger into the controller until you hear and feel a “click.”

CONTRAINDICATIONS

CAN I USE IT IF PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING? 

Our device hasn't undergone specific testing on pregnant or breastfeeding women, we recommend consulting with your obstetrician, physician, or healthcare professional before using the device.

IS IT SAFE TO USE WITH RETINOL & RETIN A

For individuals using prescription-strength Retin-A, such as Tretinoin, we don’t recommend using the Bright On LED Face Mask. If you are using skincare products containing retinol, it's crucial to carefully review the skincare instructions for any warnings and precautions regarding exposure to light. If you’re unsure, please consult your healthcare professional.

CAN I USE IF I AM ON ACCUTANE?

We don’t recommend using the Bright On LED Face Mask if on Accutane.

CAN I USE IT IF I HAVE CANCER?

Photosensitivity is a common side effect of various chemotherapy drugs. It is not advised to use the Bright on LED mask if you have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment. If you are unsure about any medications, you may be taking, please consult your healthcare professional.

We recommend 3-5, 10-minute treatments per week for 4-6 weeks followed by maintenance as desired. 

• Cleanse and dry skin 

• Loop head straps and slot in eye protectors into the mask.

• Plug the connector of the Type-C cable on the mask port into the controller.

• Hold mask close to your face and fasten straps around your head.

• Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn on, the default mode is red light mode.

• Switch to desired light mode/combination. 

DO NOT use Bright On LED Mask if you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity, if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or suffer from light induced headaches. If you are unsure about any medications, please consult your health care provider. 

DO NOT use the Bright On LED Mask to treat any other conditions apart from those listed in the indications for use. The Bright On LED Mask has not been tested for any other conditions than those listed and the risk is unknown.
